Sinema

Old Hollywood feel with Bubble Service. Yes, that says Bubble Service. Last Sunday, we experienced the purple velvet dream that is Sinema in the Melrose neighborhood.

When you enter the movie theater doors, you are taken in by the beauty of this place. I can’t lie, it was love at first sight.

As stated on their website:

Sinema is housed in Nashville’s historic Melrose theatre. The theatre opened in 1942 and quickly became a local hotspot throughout the 40s and 50s. Our goal was to keep the essence of the old theatre, while updating it to reflect the modern dining service we provide.

It was like having brunch in a time machine and I loved every second. I also discovered a deep love for any brunch location that takes reservations (Thanks, OpenTable!). No lines, just a beautifully set table waiting for you.

We started off with the Bubble Service. For $30, we had a full bottle of Cava and unlimited mixers. This equaled a TON of mimosas for just about $10 per person. Mixers were orange juice, passion fruit puree, a peach syrup, sugar cubes and orange peels. It’s like being back in chemistry class!

I ordered the Chipolte Chilaquiles and Lithuanian Bacon Buns with Vanilla Butter. Ok, I never thought about the Lithuanians contribution to the world until now. Bacon inside sticky rolls…GENIUS! My chilaquiles were the perfect size portion. Avocado Creme Fraiche, Pico de Gallo, Sunny Egg, Queso Fresco, Taco Beef….yes, yes, yes and YES!

Ashley and Chris enjoyed ‘The Usual’ (3 eggs, house potatoes, grilled baguette, and bacon) and the portions were HUGE! We also tried the Honey Butter Biscuit with Nectarine Jam. Another culinary masterpiece.

We highly recommend women visit the restrooms before you leave. Full length, brightly lit mirrors and a framed photo of Colin Firth in a bubble bath. Talk about bubble service haha Don’t forget to take a #SinemaSelfie too!

Overall, our experience was amazing. Great service, cool decor and delicious food. The prices are higher than your average brunch location but it’s worth it.

I can’t wait to go back for more!
